Real-time Transport Protocol

Real-time Transport Protocol
   Abbreviated RTP. A protocol designed for use in online videoconferencing applications involving multiple participants. RTP can be used with any continuous data stream and so is suitable for use in interactive simulators and with control and measurement applications. RTP uses UDP (User Datagram Protocol) as the delivery mechanism.
